The Ordinary Boys ‘Maybe Someday’ tour 2011

As like a fresher  in town, well, feeling a bit dazed on being at gig was a casual thing wasn’t it. I came earlier. Very early. I stood out at the 02 Academy islington London gate entrance before 7pm and it looks were just a three couple people marched at the entrance line.

However, that was my first gig ever here at the UK and absolutely interested. Before the show, at the outside, preston and lads were walking around next in front of my eyes, it only taken about 10 inch perhaps, but aakhh im too shy and nervous to pass my mouth on him . Shyness is nice, isn’t it? Don’t mind! it’s not the end of the world.

After about 5 years break the boys are finally back. The shows opened by the band called the brassic, whereas they were playing firstly before the heartbreakers as a second band who is supporting the ordinary boys too. Kindly regards for the brassic due to a guest list that they’ve given to me and fuck me I only spend my 5 quid to catch the boys. Wasn’t it nice, yeaahh? 75 ribu broh!!

One thing that have to be my concerned are fews elderly were came and banging out they white-head and wrinkles body at the gig. Believe it or not, they sang the song and jumped!  Brilliant! also lots of mods, modettes and skinheads gathered up there. Snap!

After the Heartbreaks finished their splendid set, the ordinary boys were taking over the stage to make it louded all around!  ‘over the counter culture’ from the same title album blasted off as the first song. Mr.Preston looks charm and vigorous at the show. More often he jumped off through the middle of the crowds, singing and chanting around with the ordinary armies. Following up many songs from their 3 brilliant albums ‘life will be the death of me’, ‘maybe someday’, ‘talk, talk, talk,‘ week in week out, ‘brassbound’ either, plus one the buzzcocks cover ‘what do I get’, and also a couple brand new tracks were floating throughout the room before the encore with the most influential tune as hell ; ‘boys will be boys’.

Not too long but not too short though, the boys were back up on stage with the specials track belonging, ‘little bitch’ from the ‘over the counter culture’ album. The crowds turned on mad like dogs. Huge ones. They’re howling everywhere and got mad fer it. I doused by beers pouring down my head and the floors became slippery. Anyway, the most anticipated song by me and for many other people up there,  ‘seaside’,  as nailed as the last anthem at night!  night of the boys!  I would say bunch thanks to lord to let me in…Cheers!

“seaside need us more than ever……..”

lads and girls, please welcome : ‘THE ORDINARY BOYS’

there is nothing more on earth could be aces than this!

Menanggapi meledaknya penjualan tiket, Ian Brown, dengan santai berujar : “We plan on spending the rest of the day jumping up and down with our hands in the air”

I live right next to Heaton Park so ticket or no ticket it will still be an experience. This is gonna be big, I hope I have nothing to do when they’re in town because all the streets and transport will be rammed. You should have seen it when Oasis where here, there was people camped in a school playground opposite the park with BBQ’s and beer. People made money selling hot dogs and burgers from their front garden. I can imagine it’s going to be insane”

Ya, ini memang akan menjadi gila. Pasti.

The first official Stone Roses 2011 ever photo taken after about 15 years

This is literally ressurection. cheers!

Track of the week on my itunes empire

1. Black lips – mad dog

lepas kontrol tetap dinamis. salah satu lagu terpanas dari ‘arabia mountain’, mad dog!

2. PJ-Harvey – written on the forehead

‘So I talked to an old man by the generator
He was standing on the gravel by the fetid river
He turned to me and answered, “Baby, see.”
Said, “War is here in our beloved city.” ‘

3. Those dancing days – i’ll be yours

Taken from ‘daydreams and nightmares’, 5 cewek stockholm ini bener-bener bikin mood percintaan gue naik terus gak turun-turun. 😀 just brighten up my day and my lovelife! i’ll be yours…

4. Vivian girls – i heard you say

5. The rolling stones – get off of my cloud

khusus untuk menghadapi macetnya jakarta sore hari dengan kendaraan roda dua gue. bikin lupa nge-rem!

6. Bon iver – holocene

just another late night time anthem.

Jam menunjukan pukul enam, tetapi antrian manusia yang menjejali PEN A (my entrance gate) sudah mengular dua jam sebelum show dimulai pada pukul delapan malam waktu singapura. Nyanyian-nyanyian mulai dari ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’, ‘Wonderwall’ , ‘Champagne Supernova’, sudah membahana di seantero lorong.. whoaa ini sama nih kaya antrian salah satu konser oasis yang ada di dvd Lord Don’t Slow Me Down, akhirnya saya bisa merasakan atmosfer ini.. all the people look like they were getting’ ready for the show, it’d be huge man!

Melesat kembali ke Singapore Indoor Stadium, repertoar dari era Definitely Maybe seperti ‘Slide Away’ , ‘Cigarettes And Alcohol’ , ‘Supersonic’ mereka susupi dalam  Dig Out Your Soul Tour. Beragam anthem Oasis standar stadion seperti ‘Lyla’ , ‘Wonderwall, ‘Morning Glory’, ‘The Masterplan’  juga mereka bawakan dengan gelegar seperti biasa. Selain itu, tentu saja lagu-lagu dari album teranyar Dig Out Your Soul seperti ‘Falling Down’, ‘To Be Where There’s Life, ‘Waiting For The Rapture’, dan ‘The Shock Of The Lightning’.

Sebagai poin ekstra, aksi solo drum Chris Sharrock yang menggantikan posisi Zak Starkey untuk Dig Out Your Soul Tour dalam salah satu belahan lagu ‘The Shock Of The Lightning’ benar-benar buas dan mengundang decak kagum penonton yang hadir malam itu. Hatts off.

Only my shed of tears answered.

… ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ selesai dengan mengharu biru, dan Liam masuk kembali untuk menyanyikan ‘Falling Down’ .. hasilnya jujur saja, maaf, out of tune.

Oasis menutup konser malam itu dengan lagu milik The Beatles, I Am The Walrus , yang memang selalu menjadi lagu penutup dalam rangkaian Dig Out Your Soul Tour “goo gooo gooo jooob gooo gooo gooo jooob”.

Now im ready to die for…..

*posed before the show…

*i’ve bought one of … guess what?

*PEN A entrance circumstance a few minutes before the gate’s opened

*did i tell you before im so close enough, eh?!

*William John Paul Gallagher on his side

*The party’s over, get yer arse up and go down to bed!

LIVE FOREVER YOU FUCKERS!

Jakarta Mods Mayday 2011

Due to a week since Jakarta Mods Mayday 2011 was held on May 29th ’11 , all those finest memories still recorded and wouldn’t get out of  my mind. You could imagine at approximately over a thousand scooters (either Mods or not) have thrilled the city by smokes delivered by 2 strokes engine scooters, and Jakarta was turning into a bloat city at the moment!

Bunch of the boys from mods, skinheads, rude boys, casual gangs were stoutly involved. As the opener; Collectors were pretty much cool as triggers to ignite the whole shows , they played couple tunes from The Ordinary Boys to Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, and also their own song called ‘Young Guns Lock Down’. Sentimental Moods were the next one. This Jakarta-based promising band played ska-swing jazz instrumental, high-rated. brilliant! (the drummer beni adhiantoro also a member of The Upstairs, a dangerous Jakarta new wave band)

After break Maghrib’s time, Rolling stone cafe turned strictly from the crowd on and on packed round the venue, North Palm Casual took over the stage with a couple own songs plus one track from The Jam ‘English Rose’ which were followed in chanting by the crowds as well. The Bovvertones from the outer space were taking sets burnt down, meanwhile it seems like they taught us how to be an original dapper-dresser by they old neat-looking fashion. On the spur of moment they were absolutely crashing the dancehall, though!

The Authentics resumed to roll up the night unleashing traditional-ska tunes from Pencuri Hati album, massively crowd choirs occured when they played ‘untukmu (one of local ska anthem had to vogue) , Mr.Dawny (vox) reveals his cheeriness by jumped off above the crowd and set a part in bloody body surfing. The Authentics sealed their set by ‘You Gotta Dance’ … what an endearing set by the band themselves!

The last one is Innocenti. This gig also a termination point of Humaniora’s album launch  since they flew away to singapore then return to Indonesia for running the rest of Innocenti Mayday 2011 tour. Initiated the set with ‘Is This A Party Or What’ taken from Innocenti’s 1st album The Journey of Mr.Who, Innocenti’s totally brought the atmosphere essence of Jakarta Mods. Dizan Rilitanto as a vocalist had a fabulous-looking impression on my mind, a black turtle neck shirt combined on a cardinal red tonic suits were looking smart and sharp… stunned on it.

After ‘Humaniora’ , the band ceased their essential set, also JAKARTA MODS MAYDAY 2011, by the most popular Indonesian mods anthem ‘We Are The Mods’. It was totally provoked people to scream to the maximum level.

By chanting “We are the mods…We Are The Mods.. We Are.. We Are.. We Are The Mods”, the din of Jakarta Mods Mayday 2011’s has settled up as the best night for whom had involved supporting the scene to keep alive and bashing!
