As like a fresher in town, well, feeling a bit dazed on being at gig was a casual thing wasn’t it. I came earlier. Very early. I stood out at the 02 Academy islington London gate entrance before 7pm and it looks were just a three couple people marched at the entrance line.
However, that was my first gig ever here at the UK and absolutely interested. Before the show, at the outside, preston and lads were walking around next in front of my eyes, it only taken about 10 inch perhaps, but aakhh im too shy and nervous to pass my mouth on him . Shyness is nice, isn’t it? Don’t mind! it’s not the end of the world.
After about 5 years break the boys are finally back. The shows opened by the band called the brassic, whereas they were playing firstly before the heartbreakers as a second band who is supporting the ordinary boys too. Kindly regards for the brassic due to a guest list that they’ve given to me and fuck me I only spend my 5 quid to catch the boys. Wasn’t it nice, yeaahh? 75 ribu broh!!
One thing that have to be my concerned are fews elderly were came and banging out they white-head and wrinkles body at the gig. Believe it or not, they sang the song and jumped! Brilliant! also lots of mods, modettes and skinheads gathered up there. Snap!
After the Heartbreaks finished their splendid set, the ordinary boys were taking over the stage to make it louded all around! ‘over the counter culture’ from the same title album blasted off as the first song. Mr.Preston looks charm and vigorous at the show. More often he jumped off through the middle of the crowds, singing and chanting around with the ordinary armies. Following up many songs from their 3 brilliant albums ‘life will be the death of me’, ‘maybe someday’, ‘talk, talk, talk,‘ week in week out, ‘brassbound’ either, plus one the buzzcocks cover ‘what do I get’, and also a couple brand new tracks were floating throughout the room before the encore with the most influential tune as hell ; ‘boys will be boys’.
Not too long but not too short though, the boys were back up on stage with the specials track belonging, ‘little bitch’ from the ‘over the counter culture’ album. The crowds turned on mad like dogs. Huge ones. They’re howling everywhere and got mad fer it. I doused by beers pouring down my head and the floors became slippery. Anyway, the most anticipated song by me and for many other people up there, ‘seaside’, as nailed as the last anthem at night! night of the boys! I would say bunch thanks to lord to let me in…Cheers!
“seaside need us more than ever……..”
